The Governance Committee oversees nominations, elections, selection and appointment of Board and Executive Committee members. In addition, the committee assists the President in the selection and appointment of committee chairs and co-chairs. Additional responsibilities include:
- Annually recruit and nominate candidates for open board positions
- Annually oversee election process
- Make recommendations for open Board, Executive Committee and At-Large positions
- Assist the President in appointing Physician and Student Board Representatives
- Address issues or questions relating to SVU governance as they arise
