The SVU FOUNDATION is the new mission of SVU’s 501c3 organization. The SVU FOUNDATION is now an Education and Research Organization which supports the mission of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound (the Society). The FOUNDATION is seeking nominees and applicants for 5 At-Large Director positions to serve from August 2018 to December 2020. The FOUNDATION is seeking applicants who have demonstrated experience with:
- Fundraising
- Grant Writing
- Relevant Vascular Industry Connections
SVU FOUNDATION Director Obligations:
SVU FOUNDATION Board applicants must be able to travel to one-person meeting, at the SVU Annual Conference, as well as participate in regular conference calls during the year.
FOUNDATION Directors will set the vision, policies and procedures for the organization, ensuring these align with the mission and strategic plan of SVU (the Society); provide guidance and feedback to the Executive Director; prepare for meetings by reviewing documents and providing feedback; and aid in the governance of the organization.
FOUNDATION Directors are expected to actively participate in fund-raising, branding and visibility activities, and generally building out the FOUNDATION as it supports SVU (the Society) through educational and research activities. This will include seeking research grants; awarding research grants; administering scholarship activities; and coordinating with SVU (the Society) as appropriate.
Process and Deadline:
Applicants for the Society At- Large Director or FOUNDATION Director positions must complete the Board Application (please download the form before filling it out) and submit along with a professional Letter of Reference and an optional Resume (or CV) and by 11 PM ET, Monday May 14, 2018.
Applicants submitting resumes should still indicate their relevant skills and experience directly on the application.
Because SVU (the Society) and the SVU FOUNDATION are separate organizations, applicants who wish to apply for consideration to both Boards of Directors must submit two separate applications.
