October is Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month!
This month and throughout the year, SVU encourages everyone to raise medical ultrasound awareness.
Did you know an estimated 100,000 Americans die each year from deep vein thrombosis (DVT)/ pulmonary embolism (PE)? Vascular ultrasound helps identify issues in the arteries and veins to help diagnose vascular diseases that could become life threatening. Join SVU and other sonography/ultrasound organizations to promote Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month (MUAM), and increase the public's knowledge about sonography and ultrasound.
